For National Science Week 2021 Praxical presents The STEAM Room: a science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) themed comedy night at Sydney’s Giant Dwarf Theatre.

The event will highlight leading Australian research through a diverse range of comedians and emerging STEM communicators. Partnering with established comedy room, Stand-Out Comedy, this event will bring together scientists, performers and you in a night of STEAM(y) excitement.

Praxical is a collective of emerging science communicators and creatives, empowering the community through engaging everyday people in the process of science. Praxical Director Luke Steller is a science communicator and PhD student at the Australian Centre for Astrobiology, UNSW Sydney. His research focuses on understanding how life formed on Earth, through studying ancient and modern hot springs.
